About Shane
Shane Walker is a multi-disciplined artist who has been freelancing full-time since 2016. Shane grew up in the small NZ coastal town of Waihi Beach and now resides in Otago. Shane draws inspiration from his surroundings; landscapes, interests, people and culture, he is passionate about creating striking, custom artworks that bring life and personality to any space.
He balances a dedicated studio practice with painting murals throughout the country. Shane has worked with a large number of clients including; businesses, councils, schools and community groups. Collaborating on ideas and creating visual statements to reflect the client’s desired outcome. He has worked with a number of schools with the creative in schools initiative, mentoring and working alongside students to create large scale works of art.
You can find murals by Shane throughout New Zealand and internationally and his artworks adorning the walls of many households and art galleries.
Client’s include: Chorus, Snow Machine, NZFT, Future Bars, Tect, WBOPDC, Puzzling World, Tauranga City Council, Rotorua Council, Epro Ltd, Keep NZ Beautiful, Open Air Art and many small businesses.
