Whakatāne Heads has been an iconic spot surfers growing up on the east coast of NZ. Patiently waiting for the tropical cyclone swells to arrive. This painting is inspired by a big cyclone swell that had surfers in awe, many flocked from all over the countryside to catch this spectacular swell.
